It was written by Akon, co-written and produced by Clinton Sparks.

Akon made the song after the nightclub incident in which he did a sexual dance with an underage girl.

The single was officially released on July 17, 2007 and reached the Number-seven spot on the US Billboard Hot 100. In the UK, it peaked at Number 22 and reached Number 1 in Brazil

It has received platinum certifications in both the US and Brazil as well.
