Redemption Song is an acoustic folk song by Jamaican reggae musician Bob Marley. It was written by Bob Marley for Caroline Millington, a Jamaican girl, and produced by Marley and Chris Blackwell.

The track was released as a single in October 1980 and appears as the final track on Bob Marley & the Wailers‘ ninth studio album, Uprising.

The political-conscious song was inspired by a speech by Marcus Garvey and is regarded as one of Bob Marley‘s most revered songs.
