The song was released by both RCA Victor Records and EMI Records, reaching Number 4 on the US Billboard 100 chart and topping the Belgian Ultratop 50.

Other noteworthy renditions of the song have also come from Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Johnnie Ray.
