UB40 I Got You Babe (f. Chrissie Hynde):

I Got You Babe is a 1965 pop song originally written by Sonny Bono and recorded by American pop duo Sonny & Cher for their debut album Look At Us.

In 1985, English band UB40 recorded a reggae-dub cover version of the song with American singer Chrissie Hynde for their sixth (6^th) studio album Baggariddim. It was released as a 12” single with Red Red Wine as the second track.

Their version performed fairly in the US, reaching number twenty-eight (28) on the Billboard Hot 100, but topped the UK Singles chart. It also reached number one in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland.
